Foy Sagar Lake

A peaceful reservoir on the outskirts of Ajmer, known for quiet evenings and bird sightings.

Foy Sagar is an artificial lake built in 1891 as a famine relief project by the British engineer Mr. Foy. It sits on the western edge of Ajmer and is considerably quieter than Ana Sagar, making it a good escape from the busier parts of the city. The lake attracts migratory birds in winter and the Aravalli hills in the background make for a clean, unhurried view. It is a favourite spot for locals in the evenings, especially families and photographers looking for a calm sunset.
