Daulat Bagh, now officially called Subhash Udyan, is a public garden on the bank of Ana Sagar lake. It was laid out by the Mughal emperor Jahangir, and the white marble baradari pavilions on the lake embankment next to it were added by Shah Jahan. Today it is a local park with lawns, fountains, shady walks and a view across the lake to the hills. Evenings are the busiest time, when families come out and boats set off on the lake. It pairs well with a walk along the Ana Sagar embankment.
