Built around 1199 AD, Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is among the earliest mosques constructed in India after the Islamic conquest. The name loosely translates to a shed of two and a half days, referencing a fair that was once held here. The arched screen facade is covered in intricate Koranic calligraphy, while the pillars inside show clear traces of earlier Hindu and Jain temple construction. It is a quiet, often overlooked site that rewards curious visitors with layers of history.
