Cave 26 is a chaitya (prayer hall) famous for its monumental reclining Buddha and elaborately carved exterior. It is one of the most dramatic architectural spaces at Ajanta and a frequent cover-image cave for the site. Give it enough time inside the hall and on the facade walk.
