Heritage Park is the largest public park in Agartala, spread across about 12 acres about 3 km from the city centre. The park was developed to showcase Tripura's natural and cultural heritage in one accessible space. It contains miniature replicas of the state's most famous tourist sites, traditional tribal huts representing the various communities of Tripura, sculptures, flower gardens, and walking paths. A section of the park is dedicated to the Bangladesh Mukti Juddho of 1971, commemorating the important role Tripura played in sheltering refugees during the Liberation War. The park is popular with families and is particularly beautiful in the morning and evening when the gardens are at their best.
