The SARAS Aajeevika Mela is a national fair organised by the Ministry of Rural Development under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY NRLM). Women entrepreneurs from self help groups across India sell their handlooms, handicrafts and food products directly to visitors.
The 2027 edition in New Delhi runs for 28 days, from 1 to 28 February, at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium near India Gate. Stalls are arranged by state, with textiles, sarees, home decor, natural products, pickles and spices, and a food court serving regional dishes, along with cultural performances.
February is a pleasant time to be outdoors in Delhi, and the venue is close to India Gate and Kartavya Path, so you can combine a visit with an evening walk there. The nearest metro stations are Khan Market and Central Secretariat.
