Mahindra Kabira Festival
Three days of music, poetry and walks inspired by Kabir at Guleria Kothi and Shivala Ghat, Varanasi, from 4 to 6 December 2026.
The Mahindra Kabira Festival celebrates the 15th century poet saint Kabir in his home city of Varanasi. Presented by Mahindra and Teamwork Arts, the festival brings Kabir's verses to life through Sufi, folk and classical music, talks and walks along the ghats.
The 2026 edition runs from 4 to 6 December. Mornings begin with music on the riverside at Guleria Kothi near Ganesh Ghat, followed by heritage walks, boat rides and conversations on Kabir's poetry. Evening concerts are held on the steps of Shivala Ghat by the Ganga.
Attendance is through a delegate package booked on the festival website, priced at ₹44,000 per person for the three day experience. Flights and hotels are not included, so book a stay near the southern ghats, close to Shivala and Assi, to walk to the venues.
