Mahakauthig 2025 is a grand cultural festival celebrating the rich heritage, music and traditions of Uttarakhand, held in Noida every December.

The event brings together folk artists from the Kumaon and Garhwal regions to showcase traditional dances, Jagar performances, folk songs and cultural showcases.

Visitors can enjoy live stage shows by popular Uttarakhandi singers, along with community gatherings and cultural interactions. Dozens of stalls display authentic hill products, from handicrafts and woollens to spices, pulses, herbs and home-made delicacies.

Traditional Uttarakhand cuisine, including millet dishes, local sweets and mountain-style snacks, is a major attraction for food lovers. The festival offers a nostalgic atmosphere for people from Uttarakhand living across NCR, helping them reconnect with their cultural roots.

It also invites urban visitors to experience the vibrancy of the hills through art, craft, music and flavours. Mahakauthig supports local artisans and small businesses by giving them a platform to reach wider audiences. Together, the music, food and festive mood make Mahakauthig 2025 a colourful celebration of Uttarakhand’s living cultural spirit.
