Nandan, 1/1 AJC Bose Road, Kolkata, West Bengal 700020
The Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) is one of India's best known film festivals, organised by the West Bengal government with Nandan, the state film centre, as its main venue. The 32nd edition runs from 16 to 23 December 2026.
Over eight days, the festival screens international competition films, Indian and Bengali language sections, retrospectives and restored classics in halls across Kolkata alongside talks and masterclasses. Screenings around Nandan, Rabindra Sadan and Sisir Mancha make the AJC Bose Road area the centre of activity, with long queues and street food outside.
Delegate registration and the screening schedule are announced on the official KIFF website before the festival. The dates sit just before Christmas, so you can combine the festival with the lights of Park Street and Kolkata's winter food season.
